How much does laminate cost installed?

Laminate typically starts around $2.99 per square foot installed for AC3 residential grade, with thicker AC4 and AC5 commercial-grade laminates higher. Final pricing depends on the wear rating, underlayment choice, and any subfloor prep.
Is laminate waterproof?

Most laminate is water-resistant but not fully waterproof — surface spills wiped up quickly are fine, but standing water can swell the core. For kitchens, bathrooms, or basements with moisture concerns, we recommend luxury vinyl plank instead. There are some newer waterproof laminate products but they're more expensive than equivalent LVP.
Can laminate be refinished?

No. Laminate is a printed-image product, so it cannot be sanded and refinished like hardwood. When the wear layer goes, the floor needs to be replaced. Pick a thicker AC rating to extend the lifespan.
Where is laminate the right choice?

Laminate is the right pick for rental properties (cost-effective and easy to replace), basements (when waterproofing is handled separately), guest rooms, and homeowners who want a wood look on a tight budget. It is not right for kitchens or bathrooms with regular water exposure.
How long does laminate installation take?

Do you do laminate stairs?

We can install laminate stair nosing for staircases that connect to laminate floors. Carpet on stairs is more common because it's safer and quieter, but laminate or LVP stairs are an option.
How does laminate compare to LVP?

LVP is fully waterproof, softer underfoot, and typically more durable for the same price point. Laminate is usually slightly less expensive and has a more authentic wood-grain texture in the higher AC ratings. For most modern homes we recommend LVP, but laminate still has a place in the right rooms.
